This year's Exhibition falls under the theme "Sharing the Planet". It's important to give students time to understand the descriptor of the theme each year. Students reflected on the past 5 units and then discussed the similarities and differences with this current unit. After talking about possible topics of interest, students grouped topics under the part of the descriptor that it could possibly fit under. They had some really rich conversations about what it means to share finite resources and equal opportunities and how communities relate. Taking the time to do an activity like this helped the students stay more focused and it was easier to see as a class what they were really passionate about.
